Let’s enjoy a sunset hike with a refreshing tequila cocktail at a beautiful mountain lake!

Silver Lake is a high alpine lake located up in American Fork Canyon. It is a moderate incline trail that passes through beautiful aspen trees before opening up to the mountain views. Join us for a beautiful evening in the mountains.

If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a sunset hike, lake hike and/or a WHS day hike event.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,423 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4.5 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from [email protected] about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

• Proper clothing / layers for late summer weather and hiking conditions
• Headlamp
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
