Last week Wine Hiking Society hosted a Wildflower and Wine Wednesday” hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We had a great time sipping on wine and soaking in the beautiful scenery and sunset while escaping the heat. This hike served as inspiration to create a mini-guide to some popular wildflowers native to the Wasatch Mountains that you may come across on your hikes this time of year.
Five years ago I was struggling to find a reason to get out of bed each day. I was in the process of leaving an old life and working to create a new one. The transition was overwhelming, messy and heartbreaking. I found myself in a deep depression that felt impossible to shake. Thankfully, hope showed up in a random article about the healing power of hiking. One foot in front of the other, I hiked toward healing.
