So. UT: Tequila at the Turtle Wall ~ Slow & Steady Hike

About This Event

It’s January and things might be a bit chilly. Let’s keep ourselves warm with a bit of tequila and enjoy a trail that offers full sun exposure!

This hike offers beautiful red rock formations, views of Saint George and the chance to stop and watch climbers tackling the Turtle Wall Climbing Area.

If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a winter hike and/or a WHS day hike event. Want to join the challenge? Sign up here!

TRAIL RATING: Easy (459 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 3.8 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from southernutah.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for winter weather & hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
