About This Event
You’ve seen them – The Eagle Crags, those spiked sandstone pinnacles high on a ridge before Springdale & Zion NP. Now check them out up close!
This trail is MODERATELY STRENUOUS, with a rolling mix of rocky and packed sand through juniper and yucca. The first mile is mostly downhill, then around mile 2 the trail begins to climb steeper red slopes toward the sandstone towers looming above. We’ll see expansive views unfold as the trail winds upward (but with periodic flat stretches) and the grand Zion landscape stretching across to the north.
If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a winter hike and/or a WHS day hike event. Want to join the challenge? Sign up here!
