About This Event

Are you a new member and/or haven’t joined us on a hike? What are you waiting for? Come join other new members, like you, for a White Elephant Cocktail while looking over tranquil backcountry with a valley view.

This trail winds across and up the mountain keeping the elevation gain manageable. You’ll be rewarded with views to the west of Bountiful and the Great Salt Lake. Once we reach the top near Elephant Rock we will find a spot to stop and make a fun White Elephant Cocktail.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,099 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 6.8 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from team@winehikingsociety.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for fall hiking weather and conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Four-legged friends are welcome on this hike.
