No. UT: New Year New Hike

About This Event

Join us for a mid day hike along the BTS above Layton in Davis County. We will turn this point to point trail into an Out and back as we make our way to the Fernwood Recreation Area where we will sip our drink of choice.

For those doing a dry January, Ambassador Sam Clowers will pick a fun mocktail to share!

If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a winter hike and/or a WHS day hike event. Want to join the challenge? Sign up here!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (380 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 3.6 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from daviswebercounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for winter weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro spikes depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike.
