About This Event
Join us for a book club event featuring Force of Nature by Joan M. Griffin, a captivating story about a group of women aged 50+ who tackle the iconic John Muir Trail. Who better to dive into this inspiring tale than your fellow age 50+ members of the WWHS?
This book is a celebration of positivity and joy, but it doesn’t shy away from the challenges, effort, and meticulous planning that come with a thru-hike. Joan’s storytelling is engaging and vivid, making the book read like an adventure-packed novel rather than a simple travel log.
To make the evening even more fun, we’ll host an easy potluck dinner and drinks. Bring something to share as we chat about the book, dream about warmer hiking seasons, and plan for the trails we’ll conquer next!
