About This Event
Join the Wine Hiking Society on a Galentine’s snowshoe adventure and spend two cozy nights in a spacious 24-foot yurt nestled in a hillside grove, offering breathtaking views and stunning sunsets.
While there, we’ll enjoy a scenic snowshoeing journey through a winter wonderland, go sledding, and play games around a cozy wood-burning stove.
On the final day, we’ll bid adieu and head home, cherishing the memories of our winter wonderland getaway!
Itinerary:
Day 1: Snowshoe to the yurt
Day 2: Explore the surrounding area on snowshoes, do some sledding, and play games
Day 3: Pack up and head home!
Distance: 7 miles each way
Elevation: 300 ft of gain on the way to the yurt / 1,168 ft of gain on the way out

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- 3 days, 2 nights at a dreamy backcountry yurt – Your rustic, cozy home away from home, surrounded by nothing but breathtaking snowy wilderness
- Yurt Sleepover Packing Checklist – We’ve got you covered with the ultimate packing guide so you’ll be geared up and ready for all the fun
- Two expert guides with first-aid and CPR certification – You’ll be in safe hands with our adventure pros, providing one guide for every 4 attendees to keep things personal and awesome.
- Snowmobile delivery for all your heavy gear – Forget the heavy lifting! Your gear gets a snowmobile ride straight to the yurt, so you can focus on the fun!
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:
- Keeping the wood-burning stove crackling all night long! Each attendee will take a fun little “fire patrol” shift to toss some wood in the stove between 10 PM and 7 AM on one of the two nights. (Because keeping the yurt cozy is a team effort and we’re in this together!)
YURT AMENITIES:
- 2 queen beds / 6 single beds (bunks)
- Outhouse on site
- Wood burning stove / fireplace
- Cooking basics (pots and pans, oil, salt and pepper)
- Dishes and silverware (bowls, chopsticks, plates, cups, etc.)
- Stove
- Coffeemaker
CARPOOLING: We’ll coordinate as we get closer to the event date.
GEAR NEEDED: A full yurt packing checklist will be provided on January 16. This list is an overview.
- Daypack
- Snowshoes
- Micro spikes
- Proper footwear and clothing / layers for winter hiking conditions
- Water & snacks for the snowshoe out to the yurt
- Hiking Poles (optional but recommended)

What to Expect after Reserving Your Spot
- After booking, you will receive a confirmation email. Don’t see a confirmation? Check your junk folder. Not there either? E-mail us at [email protected]!
- Around 30 days before the event, you’ll receive important information, such as the AllTrails link for our route, full itinerary, and our trip-specific packing checklist.
- Around 2 weeks before the event, we’ll have a Zoom planning meeting to discuss gear sharing and carpooling.
- One week before the the event, you will receive a group text message with the other event attendees so we can communicate any last minutes items or updates.
NOTE: Reservations are non-transferable. Cancellations prior to December 16, 2024, will be eligible for a full refund less a $50 convenience fee. Cancellations prior to January 16, 2025, will be eligible for a 50% refund less a $50 convenience fee. No refunds for cancellations after January 15, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS.
