So. UT: White Sangria on Whipple Trail

About This Event

Embark on this scenic hike through subalpine spruce and fir forests, passing impressive rock outcrops, and be treated to breathtaking views of Pine Valley and its surrounding mountains.

Although labeled as Moderate by AllTrails, it’s worth noting that this mountain singletrack trail involves a steady ascent. Beginning at Whipple Trailhead, the trail immediately starts its upward journey, weaving and climbing through the landscape. Around the 3-mile mark, after gaining approximately 1,200 feet in elevation, the trail descends 200 feet into Hop Canyon, where we’ll pause for a well-deserved break with drinks and snacks.

Anticipate a mix of sun and shade along the trail, along with the invigorating scent of evergreens. Temperatures on this trail typically range 15 to 20 degrees cooler than those in the St. George valley, providing a refreshing escape from the heat.

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike as long as the are friendly towards other dogs and people. Leash Required.
