About This Event
It may be August, but summer is just getting started at 10,000 feet!
A walk through the wildflowers of Albion Basin will lead us to Cecret Lake. We will look for salamanders, admire the views of the surrounding mountains, and enjoy a sunflower spritz cocktail (or drink of choice) during our lakeside break.
TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,210 feet of elevation gain)
LENGTH: 4.5 miles RT
CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from slcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:
- The Ten Essentials
- Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
- Proper footwear
- Water and trail snacks
- Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
- Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
Little Cottonwood Canyon is a watershed and dogs are not allowed so please leave your four-legged friends at home.
