Sheila Wall
Sheila lives in Maryland, smack dab between Baltimore and Annapolis. She loves the state’s natural beauty, including its mountains, rivers, the bay, and the ocean, and she enjoys experiencing all four seasons. She’s a big fan of football and baseball.
In addition to working as an assistant for Cindy and Angelique, Sheila is also a Pre-K teaching assistant. In her free time, she likes to read, cook, and try her hand at gardening, though she says she only pretends to garden. She also loves making lists, learning about psychology, and eating dark chocolate.
Sheila is a proud mother of 7 children, with 5 still living at home, and their family includes 3 cats. Growing up, her family enjoyed tent camping in Western Maryland and hiking together. Being on a trail helps her relax and clear her mind.
Speaking of Sheila’s family, ambassador Melissa West is her younger sister. That’s how Sheila found out about our group! Melissa couldn’t stop talking about the Wine Hiking Society after she moved to Utah. Sheila had joined the Maryland group long before she connected with Angelique and Cindy.
What Sheila loves about the Wine Hiking Society is the mission to educate, lead, and therefore empower women in the outdoors. She loves seeing how women’s experiences with this group spills into their everyday lives.
Sheila’s Favorite Drink: Sheila loves a good cab sav.
Sheila’s Favorite Hike: Sheila had the privilege of visiting Utah in December 2023 for our annual Christmas party (and to see Melissa, of course). Sheila was blown away by Little Wild Horse Canyon.
Sheila’s Favorite Hiking / Backpacking Gear: Sheila’s favorite piece of hiking gear is her walking stick, which was handmade by Holly, her child who makes magic with wood and gets her outside.
