Robin Matthews
Living in Auburn, California, Robin loves to hike, bike, and paddle board on the local trails and nearby lakes. She also spends a lot of time in the Eastern Sierras in the June Lake Loop exploring the natural beauty on foot and on the water.
Robin is a life coach and communications professor, so teaching, learning, growing are all passions of hers. She is married and a mother of 3 grown children. Robin and her husband love to travel and explore other cultures.
When Robin was a small child, her mother took her and her siblings hiking in the Eastern Sierras from the time. Robin’s mother taught her to pick up trash along the way, stop to smell the flowers, and enjoy the views from the trail. Hiking to Robin is a way to slow down, be in awe, and connect with nature.
Robin found the Wine Hiking Society on Facebook and did our beginner backpacking trip in April. She loved the fun spirit and the camaraderie of hiking with other women who also enjoy a glass of wine.
