Jen Whoolery
Jen has lived all over the US, but she calls Chickasha, OK, home. She is the chief commanding officer for Medallion Mint, a company that makes souvenir coins and vending machines for tourist attractions. Their coins are everywhere, including Disney.
Jen loves photography. Although she stepped away for a while, she is eager to get back into it. (What better place than on the trail with other women!) Reading is her favorite. Jen loves getting lost in a book.
When Jen was growing up, walking always brought her peace. She would just walk around the block to clear her mind. As a teen, she was invited to go hiking and fell in love. The challenge, the peace, and the other hikers are the vibe Jen can’t get enough of.
Jen’s favorite hike: “The Rachel Carson Trail in Pittsburg, PA. This is a grueling hike but also peaceful. It taught be I can do hard things and survive.”
Jen’s favorite drink: “Wilde – from my local winery. It is a sweet red. But I will never turn down a good beer!”
Jen’s favorite hiking or backpacking gear: “I have a pair of Columbia hiking boots I found unused at Goodwill. They are the most comfortable boots I’ve had, but it is time for a new pair.”
