Dava Coe
Dava grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. Aside from living in Los Angeles and Brooklyn for a while, she has spent her adult life in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Professionally, Dava is an outside sales rep for McCoy’s Building Supply and works at the Gainesville, Texas, store. She’s also a realtor licensed in Oklahoma and enjoys helping clients buy and sell.
Dava has a variety of hobbies. She loves playing golf and softball and working out. Creatively, she is into into making polymer clay jewelry, book markers, and other crafts, as well as upcycling furniture. She also loves flowers and plants and gardening, although she says she’s not very good at it. Music is a form of therapy for Dava. She loves going to concerts and supporting local musicians. She also really enjoys books.
Despite all of those hobbies, Dava’s number one passion is film. Not only does she have a bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Arts, but she also spends much of her time taking acting and writing classes and auditioning and working on projects in the film industry.
Dava started hiking to get in shape and quickly realized how therapeutic it can be. She loves being outdoors in nature, and hiking helps her explore and bring herself back to center while getting to see the beauty of her surroundings and keeping her heart and body healthy and strong. As Dava says, “Hiking is my time to let my mind runaway wherever it wants to, with no interruptions or stress. It’s one of the only times I feel I can truly breathe.”
Dava’s favorite hike: “So far it was Crab Eyes at Medicine Park, Oklahoma.”
Dava’s favorite drink: “I love a good Moscow Mule and jalapeno apple wine.”
Dava’s favorite piece of hiking or backpacking gear: A good waterproof backpack
