Anne Gregory
Anne is a retired public school technology teacher who managed to retire just before COVID made everyone embrace tech. She has lived on the East Coast her whole life and loves the mountains there, even if they aren’t as big as the ones out West!
Anne has two children and three grandsons who live far away in New Hampshire and California, but she makes the best of it by hiking in beautiful places, including her home state of Georgia.
She loves traveling with her husband, and together, they always seek out good hikes and ways to enjoy the outdoors—they’re true “tree huggers”! When Anne isn’t hiking, you can find her knitting or reading, enjoying quiet moments just as much as her adventures on the trails.
Anne grew up in Delaware, where her family often camped and hiked, giving her easy access to the beautiful scenery of New England. She has also lived in Virginia and North Carolina, exploring the many wonderful trails there.
Hiking makes Anne’s soul happy, and she first discovered the Women Wine Hiking Society when our ambassador Aimee posted a hike in Georgia on Facebook. With her husband’s full support, she joined the group, drawn to the perfect mix of hiking, women, and wine!
Anne’s Favorite Hike: Any hike in the mountains!
Anne’s Favorite Drink: “I’m a Cab Sav girl!”
Anne’s Favorite Hiking / Backpacking Gear: “I love my hiking boots! I have gone through many pairs over the years and they have never let me down. (I leave a pair in New Hampshire so I don’t have to take them back and forth when I go to visit my daughter…. My 10 year old grandson borrowed them this summer when it turned out he had out grown his own! 🤣)”
