Giving back, one hike at timeAnnual Nonprofit Donation
When you sign up for a day hike, you’ll notice a required $5 registration fee. At the end of the year, we donate 20% of all day hike fees to another nonprofit that supports women, the outdoors, or both. How do we pick a nonprofit to support? We start by get suggestions from our members. Then, we pick 3 or 4 and put it back out to our members for a vote.

2026 Chosen Nonprofit
For 2026, our group has chosen to support SheJumps. She Jumps creates educational outdoor experiences for girls 6 and up who have never participated in outdoor activities. The organization also gives women 18 and up an opportunity to share their passion through volunteer opportunities.

Past Nonprofits
Girl & Her Backpack: a nonprofit organization for girls of all backgrounds that promotes personal-development through a collaborative and experiential learning environment. Money raised: $5938.40
Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah (WRC): a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of wildlife. Each year their team successfully releases over 100 different species of native wildlife. They also provide education to the community in regards to our wild friends and stewardship of the environment that we share. Money raised: $5,698.80
Missing & Murdered and Indigenous Women (MMIW) of Utah: a non-profit that advocates for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and relatives. They amplify the voices of the silenced by empowering indigenous women and suppressed communities, and they share their stories to honor those who have been murdered and suffered injustice. Money raised: $3,370.00
Cottonwood Canyons Foundation: a non-profit that educates the public about the canyons’ unique importance and how the public can help promote the canyons’ ecological health and provides hands-on ways individuals can give back through volunteering and stewardship. Money raised: $1030.00
Women of the World: a non-profit that works closely with displaced women to ensure they are progressing in the workplace, getting promoted into careers, and educating themselves and their children. Money raised: $675.00

Community Service Events
In addition to the annual nonprofit we support, we strive to give back through community service events. We have an ambassador who is 100% dedicated to monthly community service events for our members. The events include tree planting, trail clean-up, volunteering at homeless shelters, and more.
