The first thing you want to do is sign up for a membership, free, top shelf, or VIP. Then, make sure you are logged in. After that, head to our Events page and choose a hike. Once you’ve read all the details about the event, scroll down and click Reserve Spot.
Oh! That’s an easy one. Go here to create an account. You can choose between a free, top shelf or VIP membership. Then, agree to the liability release form and the privacy policy and hit Register! You’re all set!
We offer 3 membership options: Free, Top Shelf, and VIP. Our free membership changes, depending on whether you’re in or out of Utah.
In Utah, free members can sign up for day hikes 2 weeks in advance and larger events no less than 60 days out. Free members can sign up for new member hikes as soon as they hit the calendar.
Outside of Utah, free members can access day hikes as soon as they are on the calendar.
Looking for more perks?
The VIP membership is currently only for northern Utah members. VIP members get the following perks:
- Early access to all events, with registration available as soon as they’re posted to the calendar (usually at least 3 months in advance)
- Invitation to free quarterly VIP-only events and an invitation to our annual VIP only campout
The Top Shelf membership is for those who are looking to travel and camp with us! Top Shelf members get the following perks:
- Early access to backpacking, camping, & weekend getaway trips (day hikes are NOT included with this membership)
Both VIP and Top Shelf members also get 10% off weekend getaways and select merchandise. All those perks are currently just $250 a year for VIP and $150 a year for Top Shelf!
We’re always working on adding more perks!
All our community service events are free and open to everyone upon posting.
Cindy here! In Utah, we host 6-8 monthly day hike events and 1 monthly community service event. We also host camping trips. Women can choose to tent camp or car camp for those.
Angelique and I love hosting backpacking trips. Our favorite is the beginner backpacking trip we do in Canyonlands National Park every spring and fall. Women from all over join us!
Oh, and I can’t forget our weekend getaways, which involve wine tasting, hiking, and other fun activities like biking, yoga, and paddle boarding!
Angelique here! I’ll tackle this question. It’s totally fine if you don’t drink! I don’t drink either, and I always have a great time on the hikes. There’s no pressure at all to consume alcohol.
Our trips and hikes are exclusively for women. Typically, our hikers are between the ages of 30s-70s and are all at varying levels of fitness. We do have a very active over 50 group in Utah. (Everyone wants to be over 50 now!) Our over 50 members also join our other hikes. We women have so many shared experiences and struggles. We’ve found age doesn’t matter (except for wine, of course).
Angelique here. We’re not the group that races to the top. We’re the group that’s chatting the whole time. It’s all about community and connection for us. Unlike other groups, we make sure no one hikes alone.
If you’re still not sure, try one of our Slow & Easy hikes to get a feel for our group.
I’ll add (Cindy here) that we do list pace expectations on our HARD hikes. This is to help people not put themselves or other hikers at risk of getting hurt. Most of our hikes are easy to moderate, though, so you have lots of options.
You don’t have to be an experienced hiker to hike with us! We provide a packing list for our events, from day hikes to weekend getaways and backpacking trips. That way, you always know what you need!
We also offer classes throughout the year to educate and empower you. Watch for classes like Basic Wilderness First Aid, Backpacking 101, Nutrition on the Trail, and Winter Hiking 101.
Not at all! We’re not the hiking group that takes off and leaves you in the dust. You don’t have to be a serious hiker, but it’s probably ideal if you do some kind of regular activity (feel free to email us if you have questions about this!).
If you’re just starting out or are coming back from an injury or illness, our Slow & Easy hikes are a great option.
Our goal is to make the experience fun and inclusive for all. While we love a good hike, community and connection always come first.
Absolutely not! We usually have about 50% returning hikers and 50% newbies. Every new person is welcome, and every returning hiker is welcoming. This is a clique-free, drama-free zone.
As I always say (Angelique here, btw), we might show up as strangers, but we always leave as friends!
Cindy here! Our hikes and trips are well-planned and well-researched. We are experienced at what we do and passionate about making sure you have the best time possible. We worry about things so you don’t have to!
We’ve got you covered! We know that you’re probably responsible for planning everything in your daily life and for your family, so we’re taking all the guesswork out of it. You’ll get a detailed itemized list of what to pack for any event you sign up for. Plus, our ambassadors will watch the weather and trail conditions and keep you updated on any changes.
Our day hikes are limited to 12-15 women. One reason is to reduce our footprint on the trail. But the main reason is to keep the hikes more initimate so everyone can get to know each other.
Becaause of space, our backpacking trips and weekend getaways are limited to 8-10 women.
