Wine, not Whining and Cheese Sunset on Ensign Peak ~ 50+ Hike

About This Event
This short, but steep trail gets us up to Ensign Peak in lickety split time and the views of Salt Lake Valley are beautiful!
At the top, we’ll enjoy wine and share crackers and cheese while watching the sun set on another day. Each person will contribute one favorite cheese and some crackers. WHS Ambassador Kari will also bring an added selection of her favorite cheeses because frankly you can never get enough cheese.
Is there a boozy cake made of cheese? Well, we will have to wait and see!!!!!
TRAIL RATING: Easy (374 feet of elevation gain)
LENGTH: 1 mile RT
CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from over50.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:
- The Ten Essentials
- Proper clothing / layers for winter hiking conditions
- Proper footwear
- Water and trail snacks
- Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
- Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
Four-legged friends are welcome on this hike.
