CO: Ugly Christmas Sweater Hike!

About This Event

Put on your ugliest holiday sweater and join us for a day trip in the Indian Peaks Wilderness! Located just outside of the mountain town of Eldora, this is considered a moderate hike with a good incline and views of King Lake and Lost Lake.

At Lost Lake we’ll celebrate the season with some festive cocktails while enjoying the views of the Rockies!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (830 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from colorado.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for winter weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro spikes (depending on conditions)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
