So. Utah: Naughty Hot Chocolate on Wire Mesa Trail

About This Event

Take a break from the holiday hubbub & take in the panoramic views with the best chocolate you’ve ever tasted!

The trail is over six well-marked miles of flat sand, narrow ridges, sandstone slabs, and a few short climbs. We’re not stressing ourselves out today – all the shopping, planning, and family travel has that covered, amirite??

About half-way we will pause for our signature cocktail and yummy treats. The trail is marked moderate on AllTrails, but that’s more about the distance than difficulty.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (524 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 6.8 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from southernutah.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

• Proper clothing / layers for winter weather & hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
