So. UT: Fruity Mojitos at Northgate Peak East

About This Event

Join us in the northern area of Zion NP as we hike through meadows and pines to reach the summit of Northgate Peak East.

You’ll be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views that overlook the main Zion formations and surrounding areas! The trail spans two flat miles to the base of Northgate Peak, from where we ascend about 300 feet to reach the peak’s summit, marking our turnaround point. Upon our descent back to the base, we’ll set up snacks and cocktails for a relaxing conclusion to the hike.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (574 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4.5 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from [email protected] about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Dogs are not allowed in Zion NP so please leave your four-legged friends at home.
