Valentine’s Day is near and we ❤️ you! Come with us to Zion NP this month when we can avoid the those summer crowds on an iconic trail and possibly the best view in the park.

Even if you’ve hiked this trail before, hiking with our members means fun from the first step to the last! At Observation Point we’ll shake up Chocolate Truffle Martinis and soak in the winter sun and epic scenery!

If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a winter hike, national park hike and/or a WHS day hike event. Want to join the challenge? Sign up here!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (702 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 7 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from southernutah.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for winter weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro Spikes or snowshoes (depending on conditions)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

This hike is in a national park and dogs are not allowed, please leave your four-legged friends at home.
