About This Event

Opt outside and hit the trail not the mall. Let’s hike off some of the indulgences from Thanksgiving dinner before the busy holiday weekend.

This gradual uphill trail will take us to the Salt Lake Overlook in Millcreek Canyon. Once there we will enjoy the views, the company of great women, and perhaps a Cranberry Moscow Mule before heading back the way we came.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,295 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4.8 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from slcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for fall hiking weather & conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

NOTE: There is a $5 credit card per car to exit Millcreek Canyon.

Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
