About This Event

The hike to Lakes Mary, Martha & Catherine, aka Brighton Lakes, is like stepping into a natural wonderland. The trail weaves through pine forests, revealing shimmering alpine lakes like hidden treasures!

Steep at first, this hike mellows out as you get closer to the lakes. At Lake Mary, you’re rewarded with mirror-like waters framed by majestic peaks—a breathtaking sight that makes the hike absolutely enchanting.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,243 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4.4 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from team@winehikingsociety.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

• Proper clothing / layers for late fall weather & hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks

• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Big Cottonwood Canyon is a watershed area and dogs are not allowed so please leave your four-legged friends at home for this hike.
