About This Event

50+ crew, come enjoy an evening of snowshoeing and stargazing at the Spruces campground!

With a groomed trail, the snowshoeing is easy, leaving plenty of energy for fun. You’ll also get to relax and sip hot toddies in a rustic, historic cabin built by the CCC—a perfect way to spend a winter evening with friends!

TRAIL RATING: Easy (100 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from [email protected] about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather & conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro spikes depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail [email protected] to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

This event takes place in a watershed area where dogs are not allowed.
