Grab your lucky charms and don your best green hiking outfit to celebrate good ol’ St. Patrick’s Day!

This gradual uphill trail will take us to Twin Peaks in the Avenues. Once there, we’ll enjoy the views, the company of great women, the luck of the Irish, and perhaps a green beer before heading back the way we came.

If you joined the 2026 Wine Hiker Hiking Challenge, this counts as a WHS day hike and/or a winter hike!

TRAIL RATING:  Moderate (1257 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4.3 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from slcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro spikes depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)

Your four-legged friend(s) are welcome on this hike but must be friendly towards other dogs and humans!
