No. UT: Lets Hike, But First… Coffee ~ Slow & Steady

About This Event

We’ll start our weekday adventure with a brewtiful and delicious breakfast. Fueled by coffee and good company, we’ll then head out to wander the trail to Donut Falls.

Meet at Alpha Coffee, and we can carpool from there. There is a parking lot directly across the street on the north side.

If you joined the 2026 Wine Hiker Hiking Challenge, this counts as a WHS day hike and/or a winter hike and/or a waterfall hike!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (508 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 3.3 mile RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from slowandsteady.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Headlamp
• Proper clothing / layers for weather & hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro-spikes, depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
• Snowshoes, depending on conditions
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

This hike is in Big Cottonwood Canyon, a protected watershed area where dogs are not allowed, so please leave your four-legged friends at home.

Happy Hour Beverage (recommended for event): Bring some Schnapps to add to your coffee!
