No. UT: Horse’s Neck cocktails at Horsetail Falls

About This Event

Join us for a beautiful evening sunset with cocktails, views, waterfalls, and friends! The hike is a bit a leg burner so prepare for a workout followed by cocktail hour in the mountains!

Late Spring is the perfect time to hike to horsetail falls as the falls are absolutely raging and the trail is clear of mud and snow!

If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a sunset hike and/or a waterfall hike and/or a WHS day hike event.

TRAIL RATING: Hard (1,600 feet of elevation gain) – To join this hike, you should be able to average 30-minute miles. While we don’t leave anyone behind, it is important to know your capabilities. That way, you do not put yourself or anyone else in danger. If this hike isn’t for you, no worries! We have lots of awesome hikes that are rated easy and moderate. Search for one here.

LENGTH: 4.6 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from utahcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for late spring weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
