No. UT: Hike Back in Time with the Shoshoni Tribe ~ Slow & Steady

About This Event

This isn’t just a hike—it’s a journey through time. We’ll be doing a point-to-point (A to B) hike, starting at the 22nd Street Indian Trailhead and ending at Coldwater Canyon. We’ll meet at the Coldwater Trailhead and carpool from there, consolidating into as few vehicles as possible to shuttle to the starting point.

This one-way trek offers us a unique opportunity to explore a rich piece of Utah’s Native American and early settler history, all while soaking in the stunning beauty of Ogden Canyon.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,262 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 4.2 mile RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from slowandsteady.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates.

• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)

Due to the nature of the hike and car shuttling please leave your four-legged friends at home!
