No. UT: Age 50+ Hike ~ Here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson on the Graduate Trail

About This Event

Join WHS Ambassador Cynthia on a loop hike with south facing slopes near Jeremy Ranch to hopefully provide some sunshine on a cold winter’s day.

No matter the conditions, this will be a short out and about; an opportunity to have fun and frolic with other 50+ female hikers!! So…. grab your leopard skin, bundle up and get ready for a wonderful affair. Think old school and remember the one word of advice the Graduate received in the movie: “Plastics” 😉

We’ll enjoy a slightly updated riff on Mrs. Robinson’s classic martini: the Cosmopolitan and will need classic nibbles to go with it! What did people serve at cocktail parties in the 60’s? …. Cocktails! Perhaps we could add a bit more like: cheese and crackers, potato chips with French onion dip, peanuts, maybe even a cocktail weenie or pig in a blanket?

LENGTH: 3.1 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from over50.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for winter weather & conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro-spikes, depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike but must be friendly towards other dogs and people.

Happy Hour Beverage (recommended for event): Mrs. Robinson drank a classic gin Martini but we’re going to up date the original cougar’s drink to a classic Cosmopolitan.
