Kick off your morning with a burst of adventure and a view that’s worth every step! Join Ambassador Sam Clowers for a short but steep climb up to Flag Rock in Farmington, where we’ll greet the day with epic sunrise views and Old Glory waving proudly in the morning breeze.

Bring your headlamp, your coffee, and your sense of awe—this one’s a stunner.

TRAIL RATING: HARD (1,381 feet of elevation gain) – To join this hard hike, you should be able to average 40-minute miles. While we don’t leave anyone behind, it is important to know your capabilities. That way, you do not put yourself or anyone else in danger. If this hike isn’t for you, no worries! We have lots of awesome hikes that are rated easy and moderate. Search for one here.

LENGTH: 3.4 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from [email protected] about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event

• Headlamp
• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike but must be friendly towards other dogs and humans.
