About This Event
Dry Canyon starts with a fun, moderate climb through a scenic canyon, leading up to gorgeous meadows below Mount Timpanogos, with sweeping views of Utah County.
Let’s gather with friends to celebrate our health and set some positive intentions for the year. Bring a warm beverage to enjoy at the top (spiked, if you like… it doesn’t have to be “dry” for all of us)!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,407 feet of elevation gain)
LENGTH: 5 miles RT
CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from utahcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:
- The Ten Essentials
- Proper clothing / layers for winter weather & hiking conditions
- Proper footwear
- Micro spikes depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
- Water and trail snacks
- Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
- Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
Four-legged friends are welcome on this hike as long as they are friendly towards other dogs and humans.
Happy Hour Beverage (recommended for event): Coffee or Hot Chocolate
