About This Event

Craving alpine lakes, fresh mountain air, and a day on the trail with an incredible group of women? Join us WHS Co-Founder, Cindy Vance, on a scenic hike to one of the Wasatch’s most beautiful high-alpine lakes.

We’ll make our way through shaded forest and steady climbs as we head toward Desolation Lake, where wide-open views and crisp mountain air are waiting. It’s the kind of trail that challenges you just enough and rewards you even more.

At the lake, we’ll take time to relax, refuel, and soak it all in… because the best part of the hike is slowing down and enjoying where you are (and who you’re with).

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,988 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 8.3 mile RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from admin@winehikiingsociety.com about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates.

Big Cottonwood Canyon it a watershed area and dogs are not allowed. Please leave your four-legged friends at home for this one.
