About This Event
Hello, Wine Hikers! Few things are better in the winter than a warm cuppa and thoughtful conversations about a great book. Join us at the charming Kahve Cafe in Salt Lake as we head indoors for another installment of the WHS Book Club.
Our second book of the year is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. This inspiring book invites us to deepen our connection with nature by emphasizing reciprocal relationships with the earth and the wisdom of plants and animals.
Together, we’ll discuss how the book’s themes align with our group’s values of fostering ecological consciousness, empowering women through diverse perspectives, and inspiring sustainable outdoor practices. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain new insights, enrich our activities, and share meaningful conversations about caring for the natural world.

In Braiding Sweetgrass, Robin Wall Kimmerer combines her scientific training as a botanist with her Indigenous heritage to explore the deep connections between humans and nature. She shares how plants and animals, like sweetgrass and salamanders, teach us valuable lessons about generosity, gratitude, and our responsibility to care for the earth. Through stories and reflections, Kimmerer encourages readers to awaken their ecological consciousness and embrace a reciprocal relationship with the natural world.
