Never been on a hike with WHS?

Join New Member Ambassador Kiki and celebrate the first Sunday of October with a colorful climb to Sardine Peak!

Expect crisp fall air, golden autumn hues, and sweeping views of Ogden Valley and the Wasatch Mountains.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (1,341 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 7.4 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from newmember.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event. It will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Day Hike Packing List
• Proper clothing/layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Rain jacket
• Hiking poles
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)

Your four-legged friends are welcome as long as they are friendly toward humans and other pups!
