Close out 2025 on the trail! Join us on New Year’s Eve morning for a fun, short loop in the foothills above North Salt Lake.

Expect crisp winter air, frosty views, and the perfect way to welcome a fresh new year.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (344 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 1.9 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from [email protected] about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro-spikes, depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail [email protected] to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike but must be friendly towards other dogs and humans.
