About This Event
Join WHS Ambassador Berkley on her first Colorado Wine Hiking Society hike!
Whip up a batch of your favorite mulled/spiced wine and enjoy a cold-weather hike to beautiful Maxwell Falls. At the falls we’ll toast to her inaugural hike and enjoy our mulled wine, cheese/crackers, and even hot cocoa for those who want another warm beverage!
The elevation gain isn’t high, but the trails may be covered in snow, so be prepared with spikes or snowshoes and trekking poles. We’ll cross a few water features on our way up to the falls, then enjoy whatever Mother Nature has in store for us that day as we view the falls on our summit.

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (879 feet of elevation gain)
LENGTH: 4.1 mile loop
CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from team@winehikingsociety.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:
- The Ten Essentials
- Proper clothing / layers for fall hiking conditions & weather
- Micro Spikes or Snowshoes
- Proper footwear
- Water and trail snacks
- Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
- Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike but must be on leash.
