Hiking Challenge: Party on Grandeur Peak

About This Event

Calling all Wine Hiking Challenge ladies! Join ambassador Tori Foote on Saturday, June 24, and knock out a peak hike for the 2023 challenge. BONUS: This peak hike doesn’t have any scary drop-offs or scrambling. Whew!

Once at the summit, enjoy stunning views as you indulge in your favorite peak bagging beverage. Lace up, sip up, and create unforgettable memories with us. Furry friends on leash are welcome! 

TRAIL RATING: Hard (2365 elevation gain) – To join this hard hike, you should be able to average 30-minute miles. While we don’t leave anyone behind, it is important to know your capabilities. That way, you do not put yourself or anyone else in danger. If this hike isn’t for you, no worries! We have lots of awesome hikes that are rated easy and moderate. Search for one here.

LENGTH: 5.9 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from newmember.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for summer hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Four-legged friends on leash are welcome on this hike.
