About This Event

Join us for a relaxed winter hike along the Green Pond Trail at Snowbasin.

This lower elevation trail is typically packed snow in February, making it a great option for steady winter miles without technical terrain.

After the hike, those who wish can join us at Cinnabar for a snack, charcuterie or fondue, and a cocktail or mocktail fireside.

If you joined the 2026 Wine Hiker Hiking Challenge, this counts as a WHS day hike!

TRAIL RATING: Easy (452 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 3.8 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from daviswebercounty.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event

GEAR:

• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro-spikes, depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Please leave your four-legged friends at home for this one.
