About This Event

Step into the New Year on the right foot—literally! Join us for a refreshing morning hike and mimosa to clear the mind, set intentions, and start 2026 with adventure and fresh mountain air.

The hike will start and end at Willow Creek Park and is a flat pathway that takes you through wooded area, over bridges, and past unique sculptures. Where we toast, will be weather dependent. Cheers!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (305 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: ~6 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from summitcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Micro-spikes, depending on conditions (available to rent for $12, please e-mail admin@winehikingsociety.com to reserve)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
• Potluck dish to share

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike but must be friendly towards other dogs and humans.
