Celebrate the autumn equinox with us in the best way we know how — hiking through a golden tunnel of aspens on Park City’s iconic Armstrong to Dawn’s Trail loop! This trail offers swoon-worthy sunset views, peak leaf-peeping, and crisp mountain air that smells like pure magic.

Bring your camera, your cozy layers, and your favorite trail beverage— it’s fall, y’all!

TRAIL RATING: Moderate (705 feet of elevation gain)

LENGTH: 3.5 miles RT

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from summitcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather and hiking conditions
• Proper footwear
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Your four-legged friends are welcome on this hike but must be friendly towards other dogs and humans.
