About This Event

The SECOND ANNUAL 50+ Jamboree is here!

This year, we’re heading to the beautiful Uintas for a weekend of connection, laughter, and outdoor fun. We’ll be staying at the Ledgefork Campground, just a short 1/4-mile stroll from the stunning Smith and Morehouse Reservoir—perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water.

Feeling adventurous? Two gorgeous (optional!) hikes start right from camp, making it easy to explore at your own pace. In the evenings, we’ll gather under starry skies for campfires, a potluck dinner, s’mores, and maybe even a little howling at the moon.

Tent camping only. Bring your gear, your favorite dish to share, and your sense of adventure—this is going to be an unforgettable weekend getaway!

CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from over50.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates.

GEAR:

• The Ten Essentials
• Proper clothing / layers for weather & conditions
• Proper footwear
• Camping gear
• SUP or kayak
• Head net and insect repellent (the bugs can be bad this time of year)
• Water and trail snacks
• Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
• Hiking poles (optional but recommended)

Only two dogs are allowed at this campsite! If you would like to bring your dog, please email over50.whs@gmail.com for availability. In the campground, dogs must be kept on leash at all times.
