About This Event
Join Sam Clowers for a fun\challenging hike up to an amazing peak to overlook the Ogden valley. This is a very rewarding hike with gorgeous views!
If you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a peak hike and/or a WHS day hike event. Want to join the challenge? Sign up here!
TRAIL RATING: Hard (2,060 feet of elevation gain) – To join this hard hike, you should be able to average 40-minute miles. While we don’t leave anyone behind, it is important to know your capabilities. That way, you do not put yourself or anyone else in danger. If this hike isn’t for you, no worries! We have lots of awesome hikes that are rated easy and moderate. Search for one here.
LENGTH: 4.5 miles RT
CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from daviswebercounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:
- The Ten Essentials
- Proper clothing / layers for early spring weather and hiking conditions
- Proper footwear
- Water and trail snacks
- Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
- Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
