About This Event
The hike to Grandeur Peak never disappoints! A steady climb to the summit offers expansive views of Millcreek Canyon. And at the tippy top the views will be GRAND!
If you are new to peak bagging, this hike is tough but doesn’t require any scrambling. Tequila shots optional!

TRAIL RATING: Hard (2,365 feet of elevation gain) – To join this hard hike, you should be able to average 40-minute miles. While we don’t leave anyone behind, it is important to know your capabilities. That way, you do not put yourself or anyone else in danger. If this hike isn’t for you, no worries! We have lots of awesome hikes that are rated easy and moderate. Search for one here.
LENGTH: 5.9 miles RT
CARPOOLING: Watch for an email from slcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5-7 days before the event for coordination.

GEAR:
- The Ten Essentials
- Proper clothing / layers for spring weather and hiking conditions
- Proper footwear
- Water and trail snacks
- Something lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e., a backpacking chair, rain jacket, plastic bag, etc.)
- Hiking poles (optional but recommended)
