DESCRIPTION:About This Event\n\nThis campground\, located just off the Mirror Lake Highway\, truly has it all: beautiful hikes\, paddleboarding\, and—over the August 28 weekend—the amazing 50+ WWHS crew!! \nThis year\, we’re doing a full weekend so we can enjoy all day Saturday to hike\, hang out\, paddle\, and play!! \nWe’ll plan a couple of potluck dinners and try to figure out which wines pair best with the scent of pine and sunscreen. \nSo pack your tent and car‑camping gear and join the gang for a fun‑filled weekend in the woods. \n  \n\nTRAIL RATING: Moderate (534 feet of elevation gain) \nLENGTH: 4.1 mile RT \nCARPOOLING: Watch for an email from over50.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event\, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates. \nALLTRAILS LINK: Clyde Lake Trail \nGEAR: \n\nThe Ten Essentials\nItems on the Day Hike Packing List\nProper clothing / layers for weather & hiking conditions\nProper footwear\nWater shoes\nRain Jacket\nWater and trail snacks\nSomething lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e.\, a backpacking chair\, rain jacket\, plastic bag\, etc.)\nHiking poles (optional but recommended)\nHeadlamp\nEverything you need to camp for two nights.
