DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nThe full moon in January is called a Wolf Moon; named after the wolves that would howl during winter nights. Wolves howl to communicate with their pack and to protect their territory. It is thought that a wolf moon offers us greater opportunity for deep self-reflection. \nSo… lets hike the Skyridge Peak Trail to watch the Wolf Moon rise over Jordanelle! While there\, we can enjoy a Grey Wolf Cocktail (whiskey and plum vinegar cocktail guaranteed to put hair on your chest) as we howl the night away. For those that prefer a Mocktail on a “school night”; maybe try the Howlin’ Wolf Kombucha Mocktail. 🐺 \nHopefully\, it will be snowy but not extremely cold so be prepared with snowshoes or spikes and lots of layers. \n  \nIf you registered for our 2024 Wine Hiking Society Hiking Challenge this hike qualifies as a winter hike\, a sunset hike and/or a WHS day hike event.
