DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nWe have so many great trails in Auburn and it’s time to explore this section of the Western States Trail. \nWe will start our out and back hike from Robie Point and continue down the canyon about 2.5 miles to cross the iconic No Hands Bridge at the Confluence. This trail follows the American River\, passes by Calcutta Falls\, before crossing the river. Lunch will be at the picnic tables by the Ranger Station Kiosk. DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nThis out and back hike is in the heart of the American River canyon in the Auburn State Recreation area. The hike follows the North Fork of the American River from the Confluence to The Lake Clementine Dam. This time of year the Falls over the dam should be at full force with beautiful views of the river down the Canyon. \nWe will stop for Clementine Mimosas and a shared charcuterie potluck by the lake before heading back to the confluence. This route combines the Appalachian Trail and the East Ridge Trail to form a spectacular loop that visits the tallest waterfall in Georgia! \nThe trail winds through dense woodlands along a well-maintained path with various viewpoints scattered throughout. A series of staircases lead up to the falls viewpoint\, which is the most challenging part of the hike. DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nBattle Creek Falls is an impressive 50 foot waterfall that will be raging with spring snow melt. The trail is short but climbs moderately steeply on loose gravel near the stream almost the entire way. \nIt is only 0.5 mile to the Falls but we will plan on continuing up past the other smaller falls until reaching a wide spot at the Curly Springs Junction to sip our drinks and take a break before heading back down the trail.
