SUMMARY:No. UT: 6th annual Diamonds for Christmas at Diamond Fork Hotsprings
DESCRIPTION:About This Event\n\n  \n\nWe might not be getting diamonds for Christmas\, but there are diamonds at Diamond Fork Hot Springs! \nLet’s hike to the hot springs together! This will be our 6th year hosting this adventure. The road to the trailhead closes sometime during the winter\, so there’s a good chance this 5-mile summer hike will be closer to 8 miles. \nWe will park at the trailhead (or at the road gate) and hike in from there. \nBring a swimsuit\, a light towel\, sandals for walking around the pools\, and your drink of choice! (I find sparkling wine especially enjoyable while soaking in a hot spring\, but spiced cider would also be delicious.) Of course\, be sure to bring plenty of snacks and water as well. \nMicrospikes may be needed\, depending on recent weather conditions. \nCarpooling is recommended. \n\n  \n\nTRAIL RATING:  Moderate (630 feet of elevation gain) \nLENGTH: 8 miles RT with road closure \nCARPOOLING: Watch for an email from utahcounty.whs@gmail.com about 5–7 days before the event\, which will include a link to join a private WhatsApp chat for carpool coordination and last-minute event updates. \nALLTRAILS LINK: Fifth Water Hot Springs Trail \nGEAR: \n\nThe Ten Essentials\nItems on the Day Hike Packing List\nProper clothing / layers for weather & hiking conditions\nProper footwear\nRain jacket\nWater and trail snacks\nSomething lightweight to sit on while we stop to eat and drink (i.e.\, a backpacking chair\, rain jacket\, plastic bag\, etc.)\nHiking poles (optional but recommended)\nHeadlamp\n\n  \nYour four-legged friends are welcome on this hike as long as they are friendly toward other dogs and humans. \n  \nHappy Hour Beverage (recommended for event): Spiced Cider or Sparkling Wine \nALCOHOL NOT INCLUDED \n—
