SUMMARY:GA: Mooney's Birthday Hike at Kennesaw Mountain Overlook
DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nWe will meet at 10am at the Kennesaw Mountain National Park Visitor Center to start our hike to the summit via the “Short Loop”. This is a state park\, so a $5 parking fee or annual pass is required. You can get your pass at the visitor center. Be sure to give yourself extra time to find the location and stop in at the visitor center beforehand so we can get a timely start at 10am. \nIt’s Mooney’s birthday\, so we will take our time sniffing everything and enjoying the scenery. \nThe trail starts with spacious dirt and gravel paths and gets rockier towards the overlook. \nAfterwards\, we will go to Horned Owl Brewing in downtown Kennesaw for lunch and drinks. There’s a heated\, outdoor patio and is dog-friendly\, but be sure to bring warm layers. Your friendly and leashed dogs are invited – especially if they like to be sniffed and licked.
