SUMMARY:GA: Bloody Halloween Hike at Blood Mountain
DESCRIPTION:About This Event\nJoin Aimee (and Mooney) to celebrate her favorite holiday\, Halloween! \nWe will have a costume contest and toast the winner at the spectacular overlook. There will be a special prize for the winner! \nBlood Mountain via the Appalachian Trail is a 4.7 mile out and back trail near Blairsville. It is considered moderately challenging and includes some rocky and steep terraine. We highly recommend boots and poles or a walking stick. We will get to see an AT shelter as well. \nMeet at 10am at the Byron Reece trailhead parking lot\, which has limited parking. \n  \nTRAIL RATING: Moderate (1377 feet of elevation gain) \nLENGTH: 4.7 miles RT \nCARPOOLING: Carpooling is recommended and can be arranged the week prior.
